I watched the movie the Fountain awhile back, and I really really loved it :D So I thought I'd make a painting based on that lovely movie. I hope I did it justice :)

One of my favorites, too. Nice job! I love the tree.
If anything, the sphere looks a little lonely floating out there by itself. Maybe a few smaller spheres off in the distance or a few more bright stars.

I think it's kinda just meant to look a little lonesome ;) When the being within transcends, the loneliness will be nothing but a dim memory :D What was your fav part of that movie? I am curious, not a lot of people actually 'get' that film! It's wonderful to see someone who does :heart:
I think the most moving scene for me was the sequence with the (Mayan?)shaman and the tree atop the pyramid. It seemed more like an hallucinogenic spirit-journey than an actual event. My biggest problem watching the movie is that I kept trying (unsuccessfully, for the most part) to draw parallels to Kurt Vonnegut's 'Slaughterhouse Five' (another of my favorites from 'Back in the Day';)

hmm don't know how slaughterhouse five tied into that lol, except maybe the blood and gore in that scene lol, I liked it when he finally transcends to the spirit realm :D I want to watch that movie again!! :D
You've got me thinking the same thing. (The Slaughterhouse Five idea came from the overall disjointed 'time-travel' feel I got from both films. Uh Oh! Gotta run...Late for work again.

p.s.- Thanks for the watch!

Thank you very much :) I loved loved loved that film, I have a copy and I need to dig it up....could you watch it on the net?
Your welcome! :D
By watch it on the net, do mean YouTube or something? Because my Mom absolutely insists that I only watch videos on YouTube, she's a worry-wart when it comes to the Internet and it's viruses... ^^;
